ZEN.COM and Flexee expand a new employee benefits model

ZEN.COM x FLEXEE

Flexee and ZEN.COM are launching the commercial implementation of modern card programs designed as employee benefits. The project also marks the first deployment of ZEN.COM’s BIN Sponsoring solution – a model that enables companies to create and scale their own products and services together with payment card issuance, without the need to independently build complex licensing and technical infrastructure.

As part of the partnership, the companies are focusing on servicing meal cards for Flexee clients, including companies from groups such as Strabag, Erste Bank, and Coca-Cola.

From meal cards to a benefits platform

Flexee develops employee benefit solutions that combine payment services with tangible value for both users and employers. One of its flagship products is the meal card, which is now issued together with ZEN.COM. Flexee’s system uses AI-based solutions to control how funds are spent. As a result, funds can only be used for specific purchase categories, such as food products, in compliance with applicable regulations. Users can additionally benefit from a unique cashback model funded directly by food manufacturers, allowing them to generate real savings on everyday purchases.

“Cooperation with ZEN.COM significantly expands the scope of our capabilities – it allows us to move beyond a single product and build a scalable card platform. We are developing solutions not only in the area of meal cards, but also loyalty programs, incentive schemes, and employee cost optimization tools. This gives us the opportunity to think about further international expansion based on already proven models,” says Andrzej Nowak, Founder and CEO of Flexee.

BIN Sponsoring — a new business model for ZEN.COM

A key element of the cooperation is the implementation of a new solution at ZEN.COM – card issuing in the BIN Sponsoring model, which is entering commercial use for the first time through the partnership with Flexee. The model enables companies to launch their own card programs without the need to hold a payment institution license or direct membership in payment organizations, significantly lowering the entry barrier into payment services. Unlike traditional co-branded card programs, payment cards are issued directly within the partner’s application, allowing the partner to maintain full control over the user experience and product functionality, including purpose, limits, and spending category controls.

“We clearly see a shift toward models that enable companies outside the financial sector to build their own payment products. BIN Sponsoring significantly shortens time-to-market, transfers regulatory complexity to the infrastructure partner, and gives full control over the user experience. Our cooperation with Flexee demonstrates how quickly this model can work in practice,” adds Łukasz Neska, Chief Growth Officer at ZEN.COM.

In the next stages of cooperation, ZEN.COM and Flexee plan to further develop solutions based on the BIN Sponsoring model and expand their application into new areas – both in the private and public sectors. Thanks to its scalability and rapid implementation capabilities, the model enables the efficient transfer of financial products into various business contexts – from employee benefits to dedicated support and incentive programs. At the same time, it aligns with the growing embedded finance trend, where companies increasingly integrate financial services directly into their products and ecosystems.
