ZEN.COM strengthens its presence in the UK through a strategy based on local licences

NEWSROOM_1312x750 UK

ZEN.COM, a global financial platform operating across 33 markets, is strengthening its presence in the United Kingdom – one of the world’s largest fintech and e-commerce markets. The company is expanding its operations under a local licence, executing a strategy focused on building international financial infrastructure.

The UK remains one of the world’s leading financial centres and one of Europe’s largest e-commerce markets. It is also a market that sets trends in financial services and digital payments. For ZEN.COM, expanding in the UK means not only access to new customers, but also the opportunity to further scale its payment infrastructure and financial products.

“The UK is one of the most advanced and competitive fintech markets in the world. Our presence here is about much more than geographic expansion. It represents another step in building international financial infrastructure based on local licences and high regulatory standards,” said Michał Bogusławski, Head of Europe at ZEN.COM

More than 1.5 million customers and 10,000 businesses

Since its commercial launch in November 2020, ZEN.COM has expanded to 33 markets, attracting more than 1.5 million active retail customers and over 10,000 business clients. The company processes transactions worth billions of euros annually.

ZEN.COM’s business model is built around a two-sided ecosystem, where the growth of consumer services supports the expansion of the business segment, while the development of payment infrastructure for merchants helps attract more retail users.

Consumers benefit from multi-currency accounts, payment cards, Instant Cashback, and ZEN Care, which provides purchase protection. Businesses gain access to a payment gateway supporting more than 20 payment methods and enabling instant settlement of funds.

A strategy built on local licences

The expansion in the UK forms part of ZEN.COM’s broader strategy of building international financial infrastructure based on local licences and a presence in key jurisdictions.

“We are building a global ecosystem connecting consumers and businesses. Our presence in the UK and the experience gained through obtaining FCA authorisation provide a strong foundation for our continued international expansion. At the same time, we are developing our operations in Ukraine, strengthening our presence in Singapore, and preparing to launch operations in Hong Kong, where we recently obtained a licence. Our ambition is to create global financial infrastructure that supports customers and partners across both Europe and Asia,” added Michał Bogusławski

According to the company, its presence in the UK strengthens its position in one of the world’s most important e-commerce markets and provides a solid foundation for further international expansion.
